Sergio is part of our Drafting team, having previously worked for a prominent Brazilian Heath Insurance company as a Site Inspector, involved in hospital engineering and regulations.

What led you to this career?

I have always been involved in solving problems and situations. Since I was a child I have been surrounded by engineers, especially my uncle, who is an excellent professional responsible for great construction.  Most recently I have grown a keen interest in structural engineering.

What was your first job?

In my first job I worked as an Engineering student intern for a builder in Sao Paulo city, mostly involved in residential and commercial projects, and later I was promoted to become an Estimator and Engineering Technician for the same employer.

What energizes you at work?

Teamwork certainly is one of the best things at work, a supportive team makes all the difference.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

It can be said that many projects are lifelong dreams for some people, and knowing that I have a stake in them gives me great satisfaction.

What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join the engineering industry?

You must love to learn new things, because engineering will always reinvent itself, and remember: knowledge will never be too much.
